The dancer and choreographer Mareike Franz, performs a sensitive choreography created for two Suites by J.S. Bach interpreted by the talented cellist, Cédric Leprévost
Bach’s suites, a unique work for solo cello, in all their genius, invite us to listen to their melodies which seem to embrace all of our emotional landscapes in the simplest way possible.
Suite 1
A cello, a dancer.
The music, the dance.
A musical and physical encounter.
Suite 3
August gets lost in his emotions.
It‘s about taking inner distance and returning back to balance in order to reinvent joy and strength in oneself.
Mareike Franz (dancer)
German, studied classical, modern dance and improvisation at the Gret Palucca school and at the Folkwang University in Germany. She has danced internationally in modern dance repertory works of Pina Bausch, in solo creations of Susanne Linke as well as in several works of international contemporary choreographers. Workshops and trainings led Mareike to discover her passion for the world of the clown, and to create different solo works, searching to find her own artistic way.
Cedric Leprévost (violoncellist)
French, trained at the CNR Supérieur de Paris (1st prize – 2007). 1st violoncellist at the Languedoc chamber orchestra and professor for violoncello at the Dordogne conservatory
