My most recent work has been guided by a research called Paisajes para el color [Landscapes for Colour], characterised by the construction of space through a sustained engagement with painting, exploring colour, generating depth with tonal degradation and variation between scales. Increasingly, it expands into installation and research connecting painting with practices exploring space and time, such as the performing arts. During my residency my intention is to deepen this research while stimulating experimentation. I think of my residency at La Moissie as a rhizomatic experience, articulated in collaboration with colleagues, where my painting production will be influenced by the context and inspired by the surrounding ecosystem.
