Evangeline Neuhart

ARTIST’S PROFILE
Inspired by the rhythms of the natural world, visual artist Evangeline Neuhart finds beauty in the cycles and patterns that surround and define us. Through the mediums of photography, film, textiles, and drawing, her work explores the concepts of the archive (whether that be through physical preservation, memory, or other means) and the unconscious mind.
A child of artists and designers, Evangeline was surrounded by and encouraged to express herself through art from a young age. That, coupled with a degree from Bennington College, a school that expects its students to examine their art through many different mediums, lead her to a multidisciplinary way of working.
Evangeline currently lives in LA where she works as a florist, actress, and production designer for films and music videos.

My intention for my time at La Moissie is to delve into a film I have been writing. It is a story about childhood, transformation, and the parallels between a mother and daughter. While I live in a big city, I often long for the quiet beauty of the countryside. I am so excited to have time and space for myself, surrounded by nature, to work on a story that has been close to my heart for many years.
